Startup Campus 2019

Startup Campus London

Startup Campus London program encourages young Hungarians living in the United Kingdom to develop their innovative entrepreneurial skills. Participants receive professional training that covers the most important topics of entrepreneurship, such as team design, target audience identification, market segregation, business model building, and pitching techniques. In the last two years, these young Hungarian talents received support at the Imperial College London in cooperation with the New Generation Center.

We are waiting for the applications of university students or young employees who have a startup idea or an already running startup and living in London or Great Britain. Applicants who get accepted to the project get 4 weeks long training free of charge in London. The workshops culminate with the Demo Day where the best teams get a chance to pitch in front of the professional jury of Hiventures. Hiventures offers a HUF 9m seed investment package for each team that can articulate a viable business model and pitch it at the end of the program.

International teams can also apply to the program if their team has at least one Hungarian member, who is a founder in the team.

"With my brother, we often played around with the idea of setting up our own startup, so when we heard about the Startup Campus program, we knew immediately that the training could provide the underlying knowledge and experience that we needed. Over the past few weeks, participating in a variety of lectures and interactive workshops have helped us a lot and have brought us closer to our vision beyond our expectations."

“I came to London to build successful global relationships and to learn. I am currently preparing for my university studies. I applied to the program of Startup Campus because of the special possibilities, and I got to know extraordinary trainers and entrepreneurs. The programs are very diverse, and the performers have introduced the mysteries of the business world and entrepreneurial life smoothly and excitingly, through interactive teamwork. I feel honored that I had the opportunity to participate in the training!”

„I came to England to study at the University of Sussex and have been working in London for three years on visual effects of big movies. I first joined the Startup Campus programme to meet with ambitious young people in London and to learn the basics of startups from mentors with professional business experience. I met a lot of creative and inspirational people, and I delved deeper into the economic side of things. It is a great opportunity to learn from such professionals!”
